A bit predictable and outlandish but totally diabolical 😜 I haven’t enjoyed a book from this author duo this much since The Last Mrs Parrish。

And where did Cassandra go?What I loved most about this book was the short chapters told from multiple points of view as well as the plot。 I couldn’t put it down as I continued to develop different theories in my head as the story unfolded。 The beginning just had my enraptured throughout the first half of the book。 I was hooked and needed to know what triggered Addison’s amnesia and who she was。 The last 100-pages generated lots of WTF’s from me and the twists getting untwisted at the end will never get old for me。 I always look back in utter amazement and disbelief how authors are able to craft such riveting dark worlds full of suspense and illusions。 The twisted mind-controlling games going on in this book are simply mind-blowing and I’m telling you, you won’t be able to put this one down! 。。。more

Unfortunately I was not a fan of The Stranger in the Mirror。 I did enjoy the first half of this book, especially getting to know Gabriel, Ed, and Gigi。 Even Blythe turned out to be a pretty good person, much different than I felt she was in the beginning。 My issue is with "the big reveal" and the fact that nothing has built up to it - it's like tada! This guy's a bad guy and the book is almost over。 I skipped over - skimmed really - much of the "evil" sections because it was just so farfetched。I Unfortunately I was not a fan of The Stranger in the Mirror。 I did enjoy the first half of this book, especially getting to know Gabriel, Ed, and Gigi。 Even Blythe turned out to be a pretty good person, much different than I felt she was in the beginning。 My issue is with "the big reveal" and the fact that nothing has built up to it - it's like tada! I first came across this author-sister-duo when someone prompted me to read “The Last Mrs。 Parrish”。 I was instantly hooked。 The Constantine sister have a way of fully developing a twist that I don’t usually see coming – and even if I do, never to the full extent they bring it。This book is no exception。 I was hooked from the beginning。 How could I not be? Sadly, this one didn’t hang together as well for me, and I felt myself slipping out of the story a few times because the premise - and the reveals towards the end - seemed a bit too far-fetched for my taste。 But there are plenty of thriller fans who aren’t bothered by such things, and I think they’ll easily look past it and just enjoy the ride!If you’re in the mood to shut out the world and read a shocking, twisting thriller by the pool, this could be the summer read for you! This comes out July 6!Thank you Harper for the ARC! 。。。more

Why would she abandon them? When Julian finds Cassandra, who has been living as Addison all this time, he is excited to bring her home。 But Addison doesn't know him, or the life he claims she lived。 What if he is part of the horrible memories that plague her? How can she trust him when she cant trust herself? This is Liv Constantine's best book yet! Full of suspensful twists that keep you frantically page turning, it keeps you guessing until the end。 I saw the plot going in the opposite direction it end up in, with the little diversions that kept popping up。 Brilliantly planted clues to Addison's life make the first part of the book the hook。 Just when you think you know where its going, the story shifts narratives and blows your mind。 Without giving away the story, I do feel I need to say that I was really shocked by the extreme level of psychological abuse that is endured in this story。 Mind manipulation is almost as bad a physical abuse。 Liv Constantine expressed her point perfectly with creating the evil in this story。 。。。more
Kayleigh 2babesandabookshelf,
Liv Constantine is BACK and dare I say better than ever? I absolutely LOVED The Stranger In The Mirror。 As soon as I read the back of the book, I knew I needed it ASAP。 Thanks to Suzy Approved Book Tours, I was able to snag a copy。This could have been a very cliché psychological thriller, but let me tell you 。。。 it was ANYTHING but that。 I was able to guess the twist halfway through and I still loved it。 The twists and turns in this book are nothing short of ridiculous and it kept me up well pas Liv Constantine is BACK and dare I say better than ever? Kayla Allen,
This book had so many things I love in a book, short chapters, many alternating POV and good characters。 This book kept me guessing and I really enjoyed the twist。 The only things I didn’t love was that it felt a bit drug out in Julians past POV and I found myself just wanted to get to the end。 Overall, was a good book and I’d highly recommend。
Nancy,
Amnesia。 Overdone, right? But you think you know where things are going, until you find out who Addison really is。 And TBH, I didn't love the ending。 There are also some plot holes and inconsistencies that bugged me, maybe a side effect of two authors (Liv Constantine is the pen name for two sisters), but one thing that definitely should have been caught by an editor。 I'm being intentionally vague here to not give anything away because it is a fun ride and if you like fast-paced psychological th Amnesia。 Overdone, right? Danielle,
Liv never disappoints in their books - they are definitely one of my automatic reads, and this book is no exception。This is the story of Addison and Cassandra。 Addison is about to get married, but doesn’t know who she really is after having amnesia。It’s also the story of Cassandra, a mother and wife who left her family and hasn’t been seen since。In true Liv Constantine fashion, just when you think you have it figured out, there’s another twist。 I loved this book and highly recommend it!
